Hi there, I'm Lucia
Project manager. Parent. Expat living in Madrid, Spain.
A few years ago, I relocated here with my family. What started as a temporary contract slowly turned into a new chapter of life abroad.
How It Started
Moving to Spain wasn’t in the long-range plan. As with many expat relocations, it started as a job opportunity and soon grew into something far greater.
The early months were intense — unfamiliar systems, routines, and expectations. Everyday tasks seemed more challenging than they needed to be.
The Adjustment Period
Culture shock, uncertainty, and plenty of hands-on learning were part of it. Yet gradually routines took shape. We found places that fit our needs, connected with other families, and began building something that felt stable.
Why I Built Clear Field Studio
Most online resources were either corporate relocation guides or superficial travel content. What was lacking was a genuine, everyday family viewpoint.
This site aims to fill that gap with practical advice grounded in real life in Spain.
What This Website Is (And Isn't)
This site OFFERS:
- Practical insights gained from living in Spain
- Centered on family life and daily realities
- Updated whenever something truly changes
This site DOESN'T:
- An official tourism authority resource
- A platform for sponsored reviews
- A generic travel diary
Looking Ahead
Our spell in Spain goes on, and so does the learning journey. As long as the information remains helpful, I’ll continue recording what we find.
If you have queries about family life in Madrid or anywhere in Spain, don't hesitate to get in touch.
Best regards,
Lucia
